MOBA game Honor of Kings (HOK) has launched an environmental protection event, TiMi Studio Group and Level Infinite announced.
The campaign, developed as part of Green Game Jam 2025 by Playing For The Planet, a UN Environment Programme-supported initiative, allows players to unlock in-game rewards like a free skin and turn their virtual achievements into real-world support for critical forest protection projects.
Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brazil conservation programs benefit from in-game activations.
Complete in-game missions to obtain free forest-themed Legendary Skin Sakeer - Verdant Serenity and learn about four forest ecosystems and rare plant and animal species.

Protect Nature, Protect All Life Event: Play and Learn
The event, running until April 22, 2025, features educational content from forest conservation experts.
Complete daily tasks to collect Forest Breath tokens to unlock four chapters of interactive storytelling about distinct forest ecosystems and 18 plant and animal species—including endangered ones. Also, reach milestones to earn phase rewards.
Collective player progress fills a global progress bar. At 100 percent completion, Honor of Kings will buy and retire high-integrity carbon credits to support the following conservation initiatives:
- Katingan Peatland Restoration and Conservation Project (Indonesia)
- Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve Project (Indonesia)
- Kuamut Rainforest Conservation Project (Malaysia)
- Brazilian Amazon APD Grouped Project (Brazil)
Note that the selection is based on the ratings from the global independent carbon credit rating agency Sylvera to ensure the quality and impact of the projects.
Match for Green Event: Get a Free Skin
From April 10 to May 4, 2025, HOK players can participate in a stack-and-match game event.
Complete missions, share with friends, and log in daily to earn tokens to unlock the forest-themed Legendary Skin Sakeer - Verdant Serenity. This colorful design honors nature with vivid animations, skills, and voice lines that highlight the connection between humanity and nature.

The campaign was made possible by Play for Good, an innovative platform from Tencent Games that allows players to turn in-game achievements into acts of kindness, improving the world.
