Maru, grassroots champs at MLBB x OPPO Smooth Legend Cup

Maru Esports from the Philippines were the grassroots champions at the MLBB x OPPO Smooth Legend Cup after beating Cambodia's Team TDN in the finals.

With their win, Maru took home the grand prize of USD 10,000 (roughly PHP 570K) from the USD 24,000 total prize pool. Meanwhile, team TDN had to settle for a second-place finish, bagging USD 5,000 (around PHP 285K) in consolation.

Prior to the grand finals, the Filipino squad bested other teams from Indonesia (Team Gryffin) and Singapore (Team Anyhow).

Maru Gamerpact Esports defeated 882 teams to make the Philippines proud. The event, Mobile Legends' greatest cross-regional grassroots tournament, helped young esports talent succeed.

All tournament matches were played on the AI-powered OPPO Reno13 5G, developed for competitive gamers. Players competed at their best without stress because of the phone's unmatched smoothness, performance, and lag-free gameplay.

Held from March 27 to 29, 2025, the three-day MLBB x OPPO Smooth Legend Cup APAC Grand Finals included top teams from the Philippines, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand competing for their nations.

At the tournament's conclusion, Andy Shi (OPPO's APAC President) and Eric Wu (Senior Partnerships Manager, Esports Ecosystem at MOONTON Games) recognized the participants' devotion and success.
