Esports Charts reported that Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) is leading online viewership at the 2026 Esports World Cup (EWC), with the Mid Season Cup (MSC) being the most-watched tournament.
Per the analytics firm, MSC-EWC 2026 had the most Peak Concurrent Viewers (PCV) with 2,010,159 views. The record was set in Group B between ONIC and Selangor Red Giants before the tournament's key matchups.

As the 2026 Esports World Cup reaches its halfway point, MSC has become the event's most-watched title by Peak Viewers so far, once again highlighting MLBB's global appeal. The Group Stage also became the first in MSC history to surpass 2 million Peak Viewers. Interestingly, for the third consecutive year, the most-watched Group Stage match featured Selangor Red Giants, reinforcing the team's status as one of the strongest audience draws in international MLBB competition.
After a wild Group Stage, defending champions Team Liquid Philippines and the previous year's grand finalists, Selangor Red Giants, were eliminated before the Knockout Stage.
Aurora Gaming was a surprise competitor in the Group Stage. The Turkish team defeated Team Liquid PH in their first match and ONIC in their second to top Group B and become a tournament contender.
Aurora Gaming's performance boosts Türkiye's MLBB Esports momentum, as the country will host Mobile Legends' M8 World Championship Finals next year in January, the first time in Europe.
Further, Aurora Gaming's ascent caused a major Group Stage shift. Team Liquid PH lost their second Group Stage match after failing to recover from their first loss, while ONIC defeated Selangor Red Giants to advance to the Knockout Stage. Two of the tournament's biggest favorites are out, leaving the title race open.
After the Group Stage, the Knockout Stage bracket was unveiled. Eight teams remain in the tournament's vital stage, where every match is single-elimination in a Best-of-Five (BO5) bracket. The upper bracket teams chose their Knockout Stage opponents for the first round. Teams were selected by point difference (games won minus games lost), with the highest-ranked team picking first.
Each Upper Bracket team selected to rematch someone they had defeated in the Group Stage. The decisions showed their confidence in duplicating the feat against Lower Bracket squads fighting for tournament survival.
