Filipino participants at The International 10, Dota 2’s biggest tournament, are stuck in Romania after the European country was tagged under the “red” list or classified as high risk for COVID-19 by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).
According to IATF, passengers from Romania are not allowed to enter the Philippines from October 16 to 31, 2021.
The Pinoy Dota 2 players affected by this travel restriction are as follows:
  • T1: Carlo “Kuku” Palad and Karl “Karl” Baldovino
  • Evil Geniuses: Abed Yusop
  • Fnatic: Djardel “DJ” Mampusti and Marc “Raven” Polo Luis Fausto
The IATF also added that arriving passengers from red countries will be barred if they stay there 14 days before arrival to the Philippines, except for government-approved travels, subject to testing and quarantine protocols.
Due to the updated travel restriction, players and staff would be required to travel to a different country, quarantine for 14 days, and provide all documentation requested by the IATF and the Philippine government before returning home.
The International 2021 event was held in Bucharest, Romania, which started on October 7 and concluded on October 17.
