The Identity V 2.0 Version Update brings a new character, visual improvements, extra content, and special log-in rewards for all players.
According to NetEase Games, the new patch will also introduce the Ashes of Memory storyline to the survival horror game.
For the uninitiated, Identity V is an asymmetrical multiplayer survival horror game set in a twisted gothic world, where a team of four Survivors (the players) must escape from the clutches of a Hunter. The Survivors must use their unique skills to dodge the Hunter and complete objectives in each stage without getting hurt. At the same time, the Hunter player must track down and eliminate each Survivor, one by one, to bring their numbers down. These matches are the apocryphal events dubbed the Manor Games. The players discover more about them as the game's story progresses, and they learn more about the terrible things that happened at Oletus Manor.
New Character and Story
The 2.0 Version update will introduce a brand-new protagonist, Journalist Alice Deross, in Chapter 1 of the Ashes of Memory storyline. Alice will replace Orpheus as the main character as players direct her investigation of the Oletus Manor and uncover its evil past secrets. In addition, all Identity V players will receive Alice as a free new Survivor character.
Brand New UI Interface
Identity V's user interface has been modified to reflect this change, with the formerly run-down lobby that players are used to being restored to its former glory. In addition, the user interface of the interactive pages has been updated to provide players with new versions of the logic path, notebook, and match entrance. Moreover, some new functions, such as an item backpack and a story review, will be added to help players keep track of all the presented information and lore.
New Scene
In the Identity V 2.0 Version update, all players will have access to Oletus Manor, including the banquet hall, study, guest room, and botanical gardens. The redesigned Oletus Manor will be more easily accessible than ever before.
Identity V 2.0 Version Rewards
To coincide with the release of Identity V Version 2.0, rewards will be offered to all players around the world. Those who are courageous enough to experience this new story and confront the terrors of Oletus Manor will be rewarded with 20 Essences, allowing them to unlock incredible rewards for their game.
Identity V is entering a thrilling new phase, with a new protagonist learning more about the terrifying Manor Games from Alice's perspective.
