Solo Leveling season 2 gets release date in PH, SEA

Heads up, Sung Jin-woo fans! Crunchyroll announced the epic return of Solo Leveling with Season 2. Arise From the Shadow will premiere exclusively on the anime streaming platform this coming Sunday, January 5, 2025, at 1:30 AM Philippine Standard Time.

For fans in Southeast Asia (SEA), Crunchyroll has revealed the release date for Episode 1 of the much-awaited second season of Solo Leveling in the region:

• Philippines: January 5, 2025, 1:30 AM PHST
• Singapore: January 5, 2025, 1:30 AM SGT
• Indonesia: January 5, 2025, 12:30 AM WIB

For those uninitiated, "Solo Leveling," which is based on Chugong's best-selling Korean web novel, follows Sung Jinwoo, the world's most weakly equipped hunter (E-Rank).

After being severely crushed by monsters in a high-ranking dungeon, Sung Jinwoo returned with the "System," a magical program only he could see that leveled him up in every aspect. He is now motivated to uncover the mysteries of his powers and the dungeon that gave rise to them.

Meanwhile, the plot of Solo Leveling season 2 -Arise From the Shadow- goes like this. Jinwoo commands an army of faithful shadows as a powerful necromancer. He must perfect these skills while hiding them from other hunters while racing to save his mother as time runs out. Jinwoo tests his body and mind against humanity's greatest enemies, revealing his newfound prowess.

"Solo Leveling" is animated by the esteemed studio A-1 Pictures, which is also responsible for Sword Art Online. Shunsuke Nakashige (Sword Art Online Alicization War of Underworld) serves as the director of the series.
