On January 22, 2025, Zenless Zone Zero will release its version 1.5 update, "Astra-nomical Moment," HoYoverse announced. Two new playable characters will debut, including Astra Yao (S-level Ether Support agent) and Evelyn Chevalier (S-level Fire Attack agent). Further, version 1.5 will include "Perpetrator Battle" and "Endless Tower: The Last Stand" modes as well as the latest arcade game "Mach 25." In the forthcoming patch, players can join a Bangboo pageant and fishing competitions and dress Agents like Astra in new skins.
Besides all-new Agents, outfits, areas, and stories, the ZZZ 1.5 update will have events with rewards. Participate in the limited-time version event to get Nicole's skin for free. Meanwhile, Ellen Joe (S Ice Attack) and Qingyi (S Electric Stun) will have their rerun banners.
Zenless Zone Zero: Version 1.5 Update Overview
New Eridu's favorite star, Astra Yao, is going to perform at Starloop in the new year. When the main stage with a star-shaped superstructure rises, Astra will blaze brightly. Wherever there is light, shadows follow. Astra is threatened by understage conspiracies. With Evelyn and the Proxy's unfailing support and protection, she will overcome all obstacles.
In combat, Astra Yao is an S-Rank Ether Support Agent. She can enter the Idyllic Cadenza state, which gives a damage bonus to her entire squad. Even when she switches Agents, she stays on the battlefield to keep buffing her teammates. As the first healing character in the game, her Ultimate not only damages enemies but also restores HP to the whole team.
Evelyn Chevalier is Astra's loyal guardian and an S-Rank Fire Attack Agent. Her attacks create Burning Tether Point that, when fully accumulated, can launch a Chain Attack. After initially using her Ultimate, she enters the Dance of Awakened Fire. This allows her next Ultimate to have a new animation.
Additionally, a new S-Rank Bangboo named Snap is ready to capture important moments with its camera. On the other hand, Ellen Joe, an S-Rank Ice Attack Agent, and Qingyi, an S-Rank Electric Stun Agent, are making a comeback in the Version 1.5 banners.
Godfinger will host Mach 25, a parkour arcade game where players race different vehicles during the Urban Video Game Festival. Bizarre Brigade will feature a 2-player PvE mode and seven new Dream Seekers, including Belle, Wise, and Cunning Hares. The "Endless Tower: The Last Stand" game mode, implemented in Simulated Battle Trial, lets players ascend 10 floors with specific combat effects. The "Perpetrator Battle" game mode, accessed through Hollow Zero, requires players to use specified Agents, exclusive Gear, and Resonia to defeat powerful enemies. Meanwhile, Deadly Assault and Shiyu Defense will be updated in rotation in ZZZ Version 1.5 to diversify battle experience.
Further, the upcoming patch lets players dress up Agents like Ellen, Nicole, and Astra in their new outfits. By joining Bangboo's "Ridu's Got Boo" during "The Day of Brilliant Wishes," players can assist Eous to win the championship and unlock Nicole Demara's new skin. They can also improve their fishing skills and obtain exclusive rewards like dynamic wallpaper in the Elpis Ultimate Angler Championship.
To recap, Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5 will launch on January 22, 2025, for PlayStation 5 (PS5) Pro, PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android.
